What LCC say:
Once funding becomes available, the council looks at problem areas in the city and how they might be solved. This is then compared against the criteria of the funding. The Putney Road scheme was considered to meet the objectives of the National Productivity Investment Fund and the Department for Transport awarded us the funding on this basis.
